Mindfulness, often shrouded in complex definitions, is simply being 100% present in the moment, as Thích Nhat Hahn explains. Yet, we frequently live distracted lives, multi-tasking and rushing, leading to inefficiency and stress. Whether it's scrolling on our phones, interrupting conversations, or juggling tasks, we miss the present. Cultivating mindfulness, especially crucial in sex therapy where distraction hinders intimacy, involves conscious choices: truly listening, focusing on single tasks, and slowing down. Though challenging, this journey towards presence, where the path itself is the goal, leads to greater peace and effectiveness.
